India has gradually evolved as a knowledge-based economy due to the abundance of capable and qualified human capital. With the constantly rising influence of globalization, India has immense opportunities to establish its distinctive position in the world. However, there is a need to further develop and empower the human capital to ensure the nation’s global competiveness. Despite the stress laid on education and training in this country, there is still shortage of skilled manpower to address the mounting needs and demands of the economy.
As an immediate necessity that has arisen from the current scenario, the government is dedicatedly striving to initiate and achieve formal/informal skill development of the working population via education/vocational education/skill training and other upcoming learning methods. The skill development of the working population is a priority for the government. This is evident by the exceptional progress India has witnessed under the National Policy on Skills over the years. The objective of the policy is to expand on outreach, equity and access to education and training, which it has aimed to fulfill by establishing several industrial training institutes, vocational schools, technical schools, polytechnics and professional colleges to facilitate adult leaning, apprenticeships, sector-specific skill development, e-learning, training for self-employment and other forms of training. The government therefore provides holistic sustenance through all its initiatives in the form of necessary financial support, infrastructure support and policy support.

The course aims to upgrade the competencies of participants in mobilizing and managing effective teams through developing their leadership and motivation styles and through adapting these to the evolving contexts.

The course uses a highly participative delivery methodology, combining interactive subject matter presentations with plenary discussions and individual and group assignments designed to maximize practical application and to optimize learning achievements. Relevant training materials and reference documents are handed out during the course. An introspective self-assessment on an individual basis is also carried out through the course in order to maximize the opportunities for participants to change. The course will be delivered in English.

Focus Groups

Success Education and Human Resources Development Trust's focus is on the socio-economically disadvantaged groups of women, youth, and children. Keeping in view the overall socio-cultural fabric of the society and the overall power imbalances and discriminations that exist at all levels; the focus, amongst these groups, is again on the most vulnerable and the marginalized ones. Success Education and Human Resources Development Trust also focus on the inclusion of minorities and special groups such as widows and physically impaired persons and elderly people.

Geographical Focus:
Success Education and Human Resources Development Trust's overall geographic focus is the province of Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu.  It is a central place of Tuticorin and Kanyakumari district.

Success Education and Human Resources Development Trust are governed by its Board of Trustees. The Board is the key policy-making and governing body of the Trust and works independently. It formulates and approves policies and organizational systems and evaluates the overall performance of Success Education and Human Resources Development Trust on a periodic basis. It consists of three members (both male and female) and is headed by its Chairperson. The Trust's board of directors comprises development professionals, intellectuals, academicians, activists, and socialist persons. The Executive Director of Success Education and Human Resources Development Trust serves the board as the Trustee and ex-officio member. The Board works in the guidelines of the Board Policies Manual.

Success Education and Human Resources Development Trust is lead by its Managing Trustee who is the formal head of the organization. The Executive Director reports to the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and is responsible for the overall management of the organization. The managing Trustee is supported by the management programs and team of coordinators /managers of different sections/programs of the Trust and they jointly form a management structure for the Trust.
